Use & Operation

Our scooters offer a maximum range of around 40km on flat ground. This figure is reduced according to the type of terrain you ride on and the gradient.

Our scooters are designed to adapt to all types of terrain. However, to preserve the life of your product, we do not recommend riding in extreme conditions (in mud in the rain, for example).

Avoid water/mud puddles, and make sure that the water level does not exceed the height of the shoe, to preserve the life of the electronic components.

The adjustment of speed levels will depend on the type of display you have:

  • 1st-generation plastic displays offer 3 speed modes: Low, Medium, High. The highest mode corresponds to the scooter’s maximum limited speed, i.e. 25km/h.
  • The 2nd generation LCD5 displays allow you to set the maximum speed directly on the speedometer.

In both cases, our scooters are sold bridled to comply with French traffic regulations.

Yes, Trotrx® scooters can be used in the rain. However, be careful not to let moisture penetrate the electronic components (motor, battery, connectors, etc.).

No. It is strictly forbidden to electronically or mechanically unbridle your scooter.

As stipulated in our Warranty Conditions, Trotrx® cannot be held responsible in the event of electronic and/or mechanical failure of your scooter as a result of unbridling. The warranty conditions of our products are null and void in the event of proven unbridling.

If your scooter cuts out while riding, there may be several causes:

  • If your scooter stops but the display is still on, your battery or motors/controllers may be damaged.
  • If your scooter stops and the displays also go out, the battery is at fault.

Before any intervention:

  • Switch your scooter on and off.
  • Check the battery voltage on the display.
  • Check that all connections are correct.
  • Recharge your battery to full power.

If your scooter still won’t start, please contact our after-sales service.

Before each outing, check that :

  • Displays light up and work properly
  • Your battery is fully charged
  • The motors operate
  • The condition of your brake pads
  • Hydraulic brakes activate correctly
  • Tires are correctly inflated (1.3 bar)

In France, the use of Engins de Déplacement Personnel Motorisés (EDPM) is strictly regulated by the Highway Code. Article R.311-1 of the Highway Code defines MPMDs and specifies that they must respect certain dimensions to be authorized for use on public roads. More specifically, article R.315-1 imposes a maximum length of 1m65 for SMDs. Given that Trotrx scooters measure between 1m85 and 1m94, they do not meet this requirement and cannot therefore be used on public roads in France.

European regulations may differ. Some Member States allow MPVs to circulate on public roads with a maximum length of 2 meters, in compliance with their national legislation and European directives on light vehicles.

We advise users to refer to the legislation in force in their country or region before using a scooter on public roads. Article 1 of European Directive 2002/24/EC allows Member States to adapt their traffic rules for certain vehicles, including EDPMs.

In France, the use of Trotrx scooters is therefore restricted to private areas or specially adapted terrain. It is the responsibility of each user to comply with applicable local rules and avoid any infringement of the Highway Code.

The legal age for riding our scooter is 14.
