Regularly check that the TROTRX is in good condition, read this manual carefully and make sure you understand all the information about the product before using it.
WARNING: As with any mechanical component, a vehicle is subject to heavy stress and wear. Different materials and components react differently to wear and fatigue. If a component exceeds its life expectancy, it may break suddenly, risking injury to the user. Cracks, scratches and discoloration in highly stressed areas indicate that the component has exceeded its service life and needs to be replaced.
RECOMMENDATION: Your electric scooter should be serviced every 6 months by a professional to ensure that it is in good working order and safe to use. It is the user’s responsibility to ensure that all components are in good working order before use. Choose a safe place, away from traffic, to familiarize yourself with your new electric scooter. The motor may start up with force, so check that your handlebars are straight and that the path is clear. You’ll need some time to get the hang of it. To avoid serious accidents in the first few months.
Make sure you are in good health before getting on your scooter.
In the event of unusual weather conditions (rain, cold, night…), be particularly vigilant and adapt your speed and reactions accordingly.
The user must comply with the requirements of the regulations and the national highway code of the country of use, when the electric scooter is used on the public highway (lighting and signs, for example).
CT CONCEPT declines all responsibility if the user of the electric scooter does not comply with current regulations.
WARNING: You acknowledge that you are responsible for any loss, injury or damage caused by failure to follow the above instructions, and that this will automatically void the warranty.
This electric scooter is designed for all-terrain use, in sand, snow and on pebbles, where the tires are always in contact with the ground. Depending on the model, it is equipped with one or two electric motors located in the wheels only, which are activated by pressing the acceleration trigger.
The electric motor cuts out when the scooter reaches 25km/h. It will resume automatically below 23km/h.
The electric scooter must be properly maintained according to the instructions in this manual. This will make it easier for you to go farther and longer every day.
For off-road use, your electric scooter is designed for people aged 14 and over. If the electric scooter is used by a child, the responsibility lies with the parents, who must ensure that the user is capable of using the scooter safely.

1. Check the following points in particular:
2. Installing safety equipment for driving
Its height can be adjusted by means of shims located above or below the stem. To change the position of the shims, remove the headset compression cover above the stem (5 mm Allen wrench), then loosen the 2 stem screws (5 or 6 mm Allen wrench) to remove the stem. If you wish to lower the handlebars, remove one or more of the brackets originally positioned under the stem and place them on top. Then refit the cover and adjust the headset.
Before riding, stop the front wheel between your knees and try turning the handlebars from left to right to make sure the stem doesn’t move. The tightening torque of the stem bolts is 15Nm.
The headset consists of two bearings and cups at each end of the bushing. All models feature an “A-head” headset. The headset is adjusted by means of the round compression cap on top of the stem. During the most intense rides, the headset is subjected to considerable stress. It is therefore possible for it to take up play.
Be careful, riding with play in the steering can damage the bearings. To check whether your headset is correctly adjusted, there’s a simple test you can carry out before starting your ride: You step over the SCOOT and brake only with the front brake, then pull and push the handlebars back and forth. You’ll immediately notice whether or not there’s any play. If you notice any play in the steering, proceed as follows:
All our SCOOTS are equipped with robust, high-performance tires.
Tire maintenance requires :
You don’t need to inflate the tire to the maximum value indicated, but rather according to the level of comfort/performance you want.
Tightening torque for 500w or 750w drive wheels (50 Nm)
CT Concept SAS is not responsible for incorrect assembly. An incorrectly tightened nut can lead to deformation or even breakage of the fork spout. There must be 2 Tork arms on the front wheel.
It is positioned on the base of the frame on the left-hand side. Its length is easily adjustable. For good stability, your Trotrx should not be parked too vertically, too flat or on too steep a slope. Recommended torque 15Nm.
Our SCOOTS and E SCOOTS are equipped with different models of suspension forks. For optimum durability and operation, please refer to the manufacturer’s specific instructions.
Please adapt the hardness setting to your size and riding style. Some of our pneumatic forks require a high-pressure pump.
Remember to clean the plungers after each use. Also check the condition of the seals, which ensure that the forks work properly and, above all, are reliable.
Certain maintenance operations, such as fork lubrication and draining, should be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations (please refer to the manufacturer’s instructions). These operations should be carried out by specialists with the necessary tools and skills.
To adjust the rear shock absorber, you have a red knob to set the rebound. The shock absorber should not rebound too quickly or too gently. Depending on your weight, or if you find that the shock absorber is too soft (shock absorber regularly coming to a stop while riding), you can adjust the compression (preload) by tightening the spring by hand. Tightening torque: 25 Nm at the front and 20 Nm at the rear. 30 Nm for the hinge pin below the shock absorber.
This electric scooter is equipped with a high-quality 48V 25 Ah Li-ion battery made up of SAMSUNG 21700 50 S cells. All cells are individually inspected and tested before assembly.
Batteries are assembled by an ISO90001-certified company, and each battery is individually tested after assembly. Each battery is fitted with two fuses on the discharge socket and one fuse on the charge socket. For added safety, we have had our battery tested by 2 independent laboratories. Our battery complies with current safety requirements.
Li-ion batteries feature memory-free charging and a wide temperature tolerance range from -10 to +45°C.
To ensure maximum battery life and protect it from damage, please follow the care and use instructions below.
Autonomy
The autonomy of your battery depends on several factors of use:
Service life
Our TROTRX batteries are guaranteed to have a minimum residual capacity of 70% after 2 years or 600 full charge cycles. By following a few simple rules, you can optimize the life of your battery. Before storing for up to 6 months, it should be charged to 50/60%, i.e. 50/51 v (approx. 3 led). Even if it can withstand operating temperatures between -10°C and +45°C, you’ll optimize its lifespan by storing it at room temperature (10/30°C). Do not leave your battery exposed to high temperatures or direct sunlight for long periods.
Optimizing battery life :
A few rules to follow before charging a battery :
Only use the charger supplied with the battery. Never try to charge our batteries with a charger other than those developed for the batteries we use.
Caution and safety rules for Lithium – Li-Ion batteries
The user of the battery undertakes to accept the risks and responsibilities of using the battery. The manufacturer and distributor cannot control the correct use of the battery, (impact from a fall, discharging for too long, incorrect storage, etc.). They cannot be held responsible for damage to persons or property.
Other precautionary rules
Before charging the battery, please note the following points:
Throttle triggers are not waterproof.
Charging procedure
Please charge the scooter battery as follows:
The handlebars can be set higher or lower:
For a comfortable position, you should stand on the SCOOT and only reach forward to grasp the handlebars, without bending your torso.
For more committed “sport” use, you need to bend your torso slightly forward, so lower the handlebars a little and bend your legs.
For better ergonomics and safety, we recommend adjusting the position of the brake levers to the extension of the forearms.
SCOOT DH 20′ AND SCOOT DH 24′ (without motor):
Hold the handlebars firmly with both hands, look straight ahead, place one foot on the footboard, then use the other foot to push on the ground, then repeat the same action until you reach the desired speed. To reduce speed and/or stop, use the rear brake (mainly) by operating the right-hand lever.
E SCOOT 24 2X2 500, E SCOOT 24 2X2 750 MONO, E SCOOT 24 2X2 750:
Hold the handlebars firmly with both hands, look straight ahead, place one foot on the footboard, then give a push with the other foot by pushing on the ground and place both feet on the footboard, then gently squeeze the gas pedal trigger, using the fixed part of it as a support.
To get the hang of it, we advise you to shift into gear 1 and use only the rear motor.
To reduce speed and/or stop, stop accelerating by removing your thumb from the gas pedal trigger, then use the rear brake (mainly) by operating the right-hand lever.
Scooters are not designed for jumping; the 2 wheels must be in permanent contact with the ground.
For greater comfort, avoid placing your thumb directly on the trigger, but use the fixed part of the trigger as a support and slide your thumb gently towards the trigger until the scooter begins to move, then adjust your speed while keeping your thumb in contact with the fixed part of the trigger. For tightening, when strong pressure is applied to the trigger, it should rotate.
Cleaning, maintenance and storage
The TROTRX E SCOOT requires regular maintenance. This section describes the important steps and requirements associated with maintaining your TROTRX E SCOOT.
WARNING: Your TROTRX E SCOOT is IPX4 certified. This means it’s splashproof. And all IPX67 connectors are waterproof.
You can clean your scooter with a hose, taking care to remove the battery. The battery should be cleaned with a damp cloth only, but not by immersing it in water or washing it with a hose or karcher.
Carefully check the screws on each part before using the scooter. Screws must not be loose or excessively damaged.
Note: Check that the scooter is working properly before each use. In the event of a fault, do not use the scooter and contact our service department for repairs. Never modify the structure of the scooter. Any modification may entail a risk of injury, and the manufacturer declines all responsibility for any consequential damage.
In case of problems :
Never leave your TROTRX E SCOOT in direct sunlight or in the rain for any length of time (like all batteries, it must not be exposed to heat or moisture).
On off-road versions, remove the battery if washing with a karcher.
The maximum speed for our TROTRX E SCOOT is 25km/h.
In the event of a fall, always carry out a complete overhaul of your TROTRX E SCOOT and battery, and use it only after it has been properly checked and adjusted.
Check wheel tightness regularly.
Check that the motor cable connector is fully inserted up to the line in front of the arrow.
Don’t forget to take precautions when storing your batteries. Although they comply with current CE regulations, the risk of combustion cannot be ruled out, as with all products equipped with an energy source: toys, cell phones, electronic cigarettes, bicycles, cars, motorcycles, etc…
