  • Screws, nuts, clamping levers (tighten if necessary)
  • Brakes in working order
  • Handlebars correctly attached to stem
  • Wheels are properly tightened and attached to frame and fork
  • Tires are in good condition and pressure is correct.
  • Reflectors in the right position
  • The lights are in working order

  • Wearing shoes:
For safe use, shoes must be worn at all times.

Description of the various components :

Handlebars

Its height can be adjusted by means of shims located above or below the stem. To change the position of the shims, remove the headset compression cover above the stem (5 mm Allen wrench), then loosen the 2 stem screws (5 or 6 mm Allen wrench) to remove the stem. If you wish to lower the handlebars, remove one or more of the brackets originally positioned under the stem and place them on top. Then refit the cover and adjust the headset.

Stem

Before riding, stop the front wheel between your knees and try turning the handlebars from left to right to make sure the stem doesn’t move. The tightening torque of the stem bolts is 15Nm.

Steering set

The headset consists of two bearings and cups at each end of the bushing. All models feature an “A-head” headset. The headset is adjusted by means of the round compression cap on top of the stem. During the most intense rides, the headset is subjected to considerable stress. It is therefore possible for it to take up play.

Be careful, riding with play in the steering can damage the bearings. To check whether your headset is correctly adjusted, there’s a simple test you can carry out before starting your ride: You step over the SCOOT and brake only with the front brake, then pull and push the handlebars back and forth. You’ll immediately notice whether or not there’s any play. If you notice any play in the steering, proceed as follows:

  1. Unscrew the stem screw(s).
  2. Then tighten the round cap screw until the play disappears. 3 / Check that there is no longer any play in the fork. It should rotate smoothly, and the balls should not be felt when turning.
  3. Retighten stem bolt(s) to recommended torque. (WARNING: during this maneuver, the front brake pads and the worn friction ring on the rear shock absorber may mislead you. To be sure, you can put your hand on the upper part of the headset during the maneuver.)
  4. Braking system: For optimum braking performance, all our SCOOTS are equipped with hydraulic disc brakes. Front brake = left lever: Rear brake = right lever. Hydraulic disc brakes automatically compensate for pad wear. Simply check that the brake pads are aligned with the disc, and that the wheel is at the bottom of the groove. Correct alignment ensures no noise and even pad wear. Adjustment is carried out by loosening the caliper fixing screws and adjusting the position of the caliper, thanks to the lights located on the brake calipers. The caliper is easily aligned by holding the brake lever down and gradually tightening the fixing screws (to 20 Nm). After releasing the lever, the caliper should be aligned with the disc. (CAUTION: this is a delicate operation on a safety component. If you don’t have the necessary skills, consult a professional).

Wheels

All our SCOOTS are equipped with robust, high-performance tires.

Tire maintenance requires :

  • Healthy rims and rim tape in good condition.
  • Correct tire pressure. To do this, refer to the operating ranges marked on the tire sidewall.

You don’t need to inflate the tire to the maximum value indicated, but rather according to the level of comfort/performance you want.

  • With 24×3.0 tires, we advise people weighing less than 75 kg to inflate the front wheel to 1.6 bar and the rear wheel to 1.8 bar, and people weighing more than 75 kg to inflate the front wheel to 1.8 bar and the rear wheel to 2 bar.
  • For models with fat tires (24×4.0), you can reduce the pressure to 1.0 bar at the front and 1.2 bar at the rear. People weighing less than 75 kg should inflate the front wheel to 1.2 bar and the rear wheel to 1.4 bar.

Tightening torque for 500w or 750w drive wheels (50 Nm)

CT Concept SAS is not responsible for incorrect assembly. An incorrectly tightened nut can lead to deformation or even breakage of the fork spout. There must be 2 Tork arms on the front wheel.

Stand

It is positioned on the base of the frame on the left-hand side. Its length is easily adjustable. For good stability, your Trotrx should not be parked too vertically, too flat or on too steep a slope. Recommended torque 15Nm.

Telescopic fork

Our SCOOTS and E SCOOTS are equipped with different models of suspension forks. For optimum durability and operation, please refer to the manufacturer’s specific instructions.

Please adapt the hardness setting to your size and riding style. Some of our pneumatic forks require a high-pressure pump.

Remember to clean the plungers after each use. Also check the condition of the seals, which ensure that the forks work properly and, above all, are reliable.
Certain maintenance operations, such as fork lubrication and draining, should be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations (please refer to the manufacturer’s instructions). These operations should be carried out by specialists with the necessary tools and skills.

Shock absorbers

To adjust the rear shock absorber, you have a red knob to set the rebound. The shock absorber should not rebound too quickly or too gently. Depending on your weight, or if you find that the shock absorber is too soft (shock absorber regularly coming to a stop while riding), you can adjust the compression (preload) by tightening the spring by hand. Tightening torque: 25 Nm at the front and 20 Nm at the rear. 30 Nm for the hinge pin below the shock absorber.

Battery

This electric scooter is equipped with a high-quality 48V 25 Ah Li-ion battery made up of SAMSUNG 21700 50 S cells. All cells are individually inspected and tested before assembly.

Batteries are assembled by an ISO90001-certified company, and each battery is individually tested after assembly. Each battery is fitted with two fuses on the discharge socket and one fuse on the charge socket. For added safety, we have had our battery tested by 2 independent laboratories. Our battery complies with current safety requirements.

How to use your TROTRX E SCOOT

Driving position

The handlebars can be set higher or lower:

For a comfortable position, you should stand on the SCOOT and only reach forward to grasp the handlebars, without bending your torso.

For more committed “sport” use, you need to bend your torso slightly forward, so lower the handlebars a little and bend your legs.
For better ergonomics and safety, we recommend adjusting the position of the brake levers to the extension of the forearms.

  • Step 1: Start the machine.
Press the “On/Off” button on the display for 2 seconds. Use the up and down arrows on the display to set the speed to 1.
  • Step 2: Once the scooter is switched on, check that the kickstand is folded, place one foot on the platform and use the other foot to push forward on the ground without using the gas pedal.
  • Step 3: Once you have both hands and both feet on the shoe, you can gently pull the throttle trigger.
  • Step 4: To brake, release the throttle trigger or lever and press the rear brake lever (the one on the right of the handlebars).
  • Step 5: Once you’ve completed your journey, press the “On/Off” button for 2 seconds to switch off the scooter.

SCOOT DH 20′ AND SCOOT DH 24′ (without motor):
Hold the handlebars firmly with both hands, look straight ahead, place one foot on the footboard, then use the other foot to push on the ground, then repeat the same action until you reach the desired speed. To reduce speed and/or stop, use the rear brake (mainly) by operating the right-hand lever.

E SCOOT 24 2X2 500, E SCOOT 24 2X2 750 MONO, E SCOOT 24 2X2 750:
Hold the handlebars firmly with both hands, look straight ahead, place one foot on the footboard, then give a push with the other foot by pushing on the ground and place both feet on the footboard, then gently squeeze the gas pedal trigger, using the fixed part of it as a support.
To get the hang of it, we advise you to shift into gear 1 and use only the rear motor.
To reduce speed and/or stop, stop accelerating by removing your thumb from the gas pedal trigger, then use the rear brake (mainly) by operating the right-hand lever.
Scooters are not designed for jumping; the 2 wheels must be in permanent contact with the ground.
For greater comfort, avoid placing your thumb directly on the trigger, but use the fixed part of the trigger as a support and slide your thumb gently towards the trigger until the scooter begins to move, then adjust your speed while keeping your thumb in contact with the fixed part of the trigger. For tightening, when strong pressure is applied to the trigger, it should rotate.
